The City of Cape Town General Valuation Roll GV2022 is completing the new 2022 General Valuation Roll which is due to be signed off on or about 31 January 2023. These values will be used to determine the new rates and taxes for your property, will come into effect on 1 July 2023. Cape Town owners are likely to receive notices during early February 2023 of the new valuation (market value) of their properties. According to the City “The 2022 General Valuation Roll (GV2022) objection period will commence on the 21 February 2023.” The objection period will close on 30 April 2023
